The latest activities by JTTRI-AIRO, such as conducting research, holding seminars and collaborating parties in the field of transport and tourism.

In October 2023, The JTTRI-AIRO collaborated with VNAT, ITDR and JTTRI held the Symposium in the theme of"Overtourism at Major Destinations and Development of Satellites- Viet Nam and Japan working towards Sustainable Tourism -". In this event of the second collaboration with Viet Nam, tourism experts from both countries introduced governments' policies and best practices, and discussed for how to balance tourism development and preservation of cultural heritage site. Through these discussions, we recognized the importance of developing tourist destinations with an emphasis on preservation. We also agreed to continue to have opportunities to learn from each country in the future.
