Aiming for Advance Logistics in Philippine
- Improvement of Logistics in ASEAN Island Region (Part1) -
The improvement of logistics in ASEAN is extremely important from the perspective of realizing a Free and Open Indo-Pacific. To this end, JTTRI-AIRO held two symposiums in June 2022 and June 2023, using Thailand as a representative example, to propose challenges and solutions for improving logistics in "land ASEAN." Subsequently, JTTRI-AIRO has conducted research and studies aimed at improving logistics in "maritime ASEAN." This symposium focuses on discussing the challenges and solutions for enhancing logistics in the Philippines, an archipelagic country. The symposium will present research findings aimed at resolving issues from perspectives such as improving connectivity between transportation modes, utilizing ICT, strengthening cooperation among logistics stakeholders, and leveraging alternative ports. Through discussions with experts, the event will explore measures to build efficient logistics systems in the Philippines, as well as strategies to strengthen logistics networks with neighboring countries and Japan.
