Department of Highways Hosts International Conference "iCHE 2024" to Revolutionise the Future of Highway Transportation
Bangkok – The Department of Highways, Ministry of Transport, in collaboration with the Roads Association of Thailand, is set to host "The 5th International Conference on Highway Engineering (iCHE 2024)," under the theme "Future-proofing Roads for Asia and Beyond." The event will take place from 4 – 6 September 2024, at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Bangna, Bangkok.
This iCHE 2024 event marks a significant milestone in the 111-year history of the Department of Highways, which has consistently been a key player in developing highway transportation standards. The conference will gather experts, engineers, academics, and industry leaders from around the world to witness, exchange experiences, and strengthen regional and global collaboration networks. The aim is to drive the future of highway transportation to international recognition and elevate the country to a leading position in the region.
Key Highlights of iCHE 2024:
• Historic Collaboration Signing: The World Road Association (PIARC), and the Roads Association of Thailand will sign a historic agreement to enhance cooperation and elevate highway transportation standards to international levels.
• International Technical Presentations: Discover advancements in engineering, technology, and innovative highway works that will enhance the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of highway transportation systems.
• Workshops and Exhibition Booths: Attendees can learn, exchange experiences, and engage with cutting-edge technology from experts and industry leaders in highway transportation.
• M-FLOW System: Experience the new, advanced, and convenient intelligent toll collection system.
• Global Brainstorming Platform: Participate in seminars featuring knowledge sharing by experts from PIARC and REAAA, presenting best practices, lessons learned, and case studies based on international principles and standards.
