On Wednesday, 2nd October 2024 Institute for Tourism Development Research (ITDR), Japan Transport and Tourism Research Institute (JTTRI), Japan Transport and Tourism Research Institute ASEAN-India Regional Office (JTTRI-AIRO) will hold the event in the theme of "Balancing tourism development and preservation of cultural heritage site". This event is also cooperated by Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT), Embassy of the Socialist of Viet nam in Japan, Japan Tourism Agency(JTA)

Balancing Tourism Development and Preservation of Cultural Heritage Site
-Japan and Viet Nam Working Towards Sustainable Tourism-
In October 2023, the JTTRI-AIRO collaborated with VNAT, ITDR and JTTRI held the Symposium in the theme of "Overtourism at Major Destinations and Development of Satellites - Viet Nam and Japan working towards Sustainable Tourism -". In this event of the second collaboration with Viet Nam, both countries will introduce governments’ policies and best practices, and discuss for how to balance tourism development and preservation of cultural heritage site.
This is one of the important issues for both countries which have rich tourism resources to attract tourists. Through discussions at this event, we aim to contribute to the realization of high-quality tourism that takes sustainability into consideration, as well as to the enhancement and expansion of international human exchange in a wide range of fields, including culture and academia.
