On Monday, September 26, 2024, MOTS and AIRO had a technical visit at Ta Kian Tia where is the best practice of CBT in Thailand.
On Tuesday, September 27, 2024 We had meeting with Mr. Mongkon WIMONRAT, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Tourism and Sports and Mrs. Katesarapotn WIMONRAT, Director of International Affairs Division and her team in the topic of "Tourism Development Initiated by Community-Based Tourism Between Thailand and Japan"～Best Practices Exchange in Community-Based Tourism between Thailand and Japan～

On monday, September 26
Technical Visit to Ta Kian Tia Community Overview： 

1. Welcome Ceremony： Welcome Remarks and Introduce Ta Kien Tia Community by President of Ta Kien Tia CBT Club, Thailand.  
2. Tasting coffee and sweets made from coconuts
3. Learning how to cook “stir-fried coconut shell with chicken
4. Making unique one-of-a-kind tie-dye fabric with vivid brown shade from coconut husk at Ban Fasai
5. Playing a disc golf, The sport that take advantage from coconut plantation
6. Mr. Mongkon, Deputy Permanent Secretary of MOTS and Mr. Okuda, President of JTTRI-AIRO jointly planted new coconut trees

On Tuesday, September 27
in this meeting JTTRI(Japan Transport and Tourism Institute) and Ministry of Tourism took turn discussed and exchange opinion on possible cooperation between Thailand and Japan on Community-based Tourism and exchange opinions on the visit at Ta Kien Tia Community This session included representative from Thai Speaker Ms. Wanvipa Phanumat, Director of Strategy Management Office, DASTA Ms. Ploychompooh Thitiyaporn, International Relations officer, International Cooperation Section TAT and also representative from Japan speakers Mr. ITO Kazuhiro Executive Director, Office of International Tourism, Japan Association of Travel Agents Ms. SUZUKI Hiroko Research Fellow, JTTRI and lastly we also discussed the organization of the 4 th meeting of Tourism Working Group between Thailand and Japan
