On Wednesday 5th March 2025 Ministry of Tourism and Sports(MOTS), Japan Transport and Tourism Research Institute (JTTRI), Japan Transport and Tourism Research Institute ASEAN-India Regional Office (JTTRI-AIRO) held The 4th working group Meeting in a topic of Toward High-Value Tourrism Destination and Industry by Utilizing National and Local Identities (Tourism Resources)- Future Prospects and initiatives to Achieve Sustainable Tourism- in the conference room of NIKKO Hotel 4th Floor.
in this meeting JTTRI(Japan Transport and Tourism Institute) and Ministry of Tourism took turn discussed on trends in changing tourist behavior after the pandemic, from the present to the future. Additionally, the meeting reviewed and discussed the outcomes of the previous Working Group sessions The 2nd Working Group led by Mr. TOMITA Akihiro Executive Director, JTTRI ASEAN-India Regional Office and the 3rd Working Group led by Ms. Katesaraporn Wimonrat. Furthermore, the participants deliberated on strategies to drive collaborative efforts in various areas, including:
- Cruise tourism
- Hot spring tourism
- Wellness tourism
- MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism
- Train Tourism
These discussions aimed to establish a framework for concrete tourism cooperation in the future.
